Sales Rep Existing Installations

Your main responsibilities

As a Sales Representative at Schindler, you will assist the Existing Installation team cultivate relationships with customers to drive sales for elevator and escalator services, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. You will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction utilizing strong organizational and customer relationship management skills.

Sales & Opportunity Identification: Aid the Existing Installation Sales Account Managers in pursuing repair sales, new maintenance contracts, and in tracking the current sales portfolio to anticipate contract retention opportunities. Prepare and present repair, renewal and recovery presentations and proposals to meet or exceed sales and profitability objectives. Understand and utilize the complete range of Schindler products, procedures and service offerings to ensure the Company meets all client requirements.

Customer Account Management: Act as a liaison between the customer and Schindler to build strong, long-term relationships and leverage industry knowledge to achieve sales targets. Work with property managers and building owners to ensure that Schindler products and maintenance agreements meet both customer expectations and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety. Evaluate any customer inquiries or complaints and recommend corrective action to management and/or Sales Account Manager. Assist with accounts receivable for client portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Collaboration, Documentation & Compliance: Collaborate with Existing Installations Sales Account Managers and Superintendents to prepare maintenance and repair estimates, communicate proposals and schedule service orders. Maintain accurate customer records and files in accordance with company procedures. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree required, 0-2 years work experience, recent college undergraduates encouraged to apply

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Customer Account Management (5-10 years): proficient in building and managing client

relationships, ability to handle challenging inquiries, while ensuring satisfactory resolution with a

focus on revenue generation.

• Negotiation & Strategy (5-10 years): experienced in the ability to negotiate contract terms and

develop sales strategies that align with the customers' needs and Schindler values and are

compliant with all regulations. Effectively, addresses and overcomes objections from clients in

negotiations

• Sales & Closing Skills (5-10 years): proficient in closing deals and securing agreements when

finalizing contracts. Ability to independently identify and pursue sales opportunities, qualifying

customers' needs and introducing new services and technology.

• Effective communication skills are required when communicating with customers and internal

stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and the achievement of sales objectives.

• Leadership (5-10 years): ability to provide guidance and expert support to more junior sales

account managers and representatives. Proven track of collaborating with Field Superintendents

and technicians with quality improvement processes.

Travel/Physical/Other

• Effective presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication, negotiation, objection handling and closing skills with a proven sales track

record

• Ability to empathize, listen and connect with people to form outstanding customer relationships
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
• Motivated, resilient, and customer-focused mindset with a strong character aligned with

Schindler's values

• Experience with SAP and a results-driven mindset to thrive in a competitive sales environment
• Demonstrated Ability to handle a mix of office and fieldwork, with flexibility for travel and

managing customer interactions
