Our client is an established commercial roofing and architectural sheet metal contractor, offering in-house fabrication (including ACM wall panels) and a full-service division.

Job Info:

Our client is seeking seasoned commercial roofing Sales Representatives to grow their Chicago market. The right person knows how to find work, build relationships, and close roof replacement contracts through direct, negotiated deals with building owners.

This is a field sales role, owning a full pipeline from lead sourcing through signed contract. The successful candidate will sell directly to property owners, property managers, and facility directors, performing on-site inspections and preparing proposals while coordinating with operations for delivery. Technical knowledge of commercial roofing systems, both flat and steep, is required, and an existing book of business is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue roof replacement opportunities through direct prospecting, referrals, and site visits
• Build a pipeline of owner-direct prospects: building owners, property managers, facility directors, and portfolio managers
• Develop relationships with decision-makers and present negotiated proposals through to close
• Negotiate contracts in coordination with the project management team
• Perform on-site inspections to assess scope, materials, labor, and timeline

Requirements:

• 5+ years in commercial roofing sales, or estimating with a strong sales track record
• Solid knowledge of commercial roofing systems: TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up, and metal
• Existing book of business a significant plus
• Ability to read and interpret roof plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Valid driver's license, and comfortable on rooftops in all weather conditions
