Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing manufacturing and distribution company, for a driven Sales Representative to join their New York, NY team. Day to day, you will spend your time prospecting new accounts, meeting with clients, and following deals from first contact through close. The ideal candidate is a natural relationship-builder who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, enjoys the hunt for new business as much as nurturing existing accounts, and is energized by hitting and exceeding sales goals.
Responsibilities
Identify and prospect new business opportunities within an assigned territory
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
Conduct product presentations and demonstrations for prospective customers
Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet sales targets
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close new business
Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in CRM
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads
Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates to management
Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions
Requirements
2plus years of experience in a sales or business development role
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Experience using CRM software such as Salesforce or HubSpot
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Comfortable with in-person client meetings and occasional travel
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
