Sales Support Representative

Overview:

JOB SUMMARY

Located in Green Bay, Wisconsin and reporting to the VP of Sales, the Sales Support Representative is responsible for providing administrative, operational, and customer service support to the beef sales team. This position serves as a key liaison between sales, customers, operations, transportation, and accounting to ensure accurate order processing, timely deliveries, inventory management and customer service. Additional responsibilities include supporting daily sales activities by managing customer orders, maintaining account information and facilitating communication between internal departments. This role helps to ensure customer expectations are met while supporting sales objectives. Will provide strong organizational skills, communication and problem-solving ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sales Support and Administration
  • Enter and update customer orders accurately and efficiently using third-party vendor and proprietary systems.
  • Maintain new and existing customer information.
  • Prepare sales reports, pricing sheets, customer presentations.
  • Assist sales representatives with quotes, bids, and other customer requests as needed.
  • Support new customer onboarding and account setup activities.
  • Communicate delivery changes, delays, and other updates with customers and internal team.
  • Support sales team by identifying inventory opportunities and aging inventory.
  • Support initiatives related to customer growth and operation efficiency.
  • Monitor customer orders from entry through shipment and delivery.
  • Assist Sales Management with forecasting, reporting, process improvements, and achievement of business targets.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through responsive and proactive communication.
  • Create ad hoc reports upon request.
  • Support accounts receivable activities to ensure adherence to contractual payment terms.
  • Maintain sales documentation, controlled records, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in business, agriculture, finance, economics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• 3+ or 5+ years’ of sales support experience (supporting an internal and/or external protein sales team preferred.)
• SAP and ERP system experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft product(s) skills including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
• Experience presenting information and communicating effectively with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders

• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and Sales Team members.
• Familiarity with boxed beef, variety meats and understanding of beef market fundamentals.
• Demonstrated ability to support sales growth through responsive communication and customer support.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, sales team, operations, logistics and accounting team.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
• Positive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the organization.
