Kawasaki Motors Retail Finance (KMRF) is seeking an experienced and highly collaborative Training & Development Manager to oversee and execute all sales related training initiatives across the organization. This role serves as the primary training resource for employee development, ensuring new Financial Products Sales Managers (FPSMs) are fully prepared to launch successfully by creating Kawasaki’s captive branded sales certification platform. In addition, this role will act as the liaison for the Sales organization, with responsibility owning the KRS training and management for newly onboarded dealerships, ensuring consistent adoption and system proficiency through formal training touchpoints conducted at least once per quarter. The role works cross functionally with Sales, Credit, Funding, and OEM Field Sales to ensure Kawasaki’s captive and manufacturer alignment. The position reports directly to the National Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to align training strategies with sales objectives and growth initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with the National Sales Manager by regularly reviewing data analytics to identify market and industry trends and proactively capitalize on improvement opportunities across sales performance, dealer engagement, and training effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert and training liaison for all sales‑related dealer and internal training initiatives.
  • Design and complete comprehensive onboarding training material to support field sales with dealer onboarding, and performance development for over 1000 Kawasaki dealerships nationwide.
  • Lead virtual training sessions for all captive finance needs.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing training programs to support change management initiatives that impact sales, including new program launches, policy updates, system enhancements, and process changes.
  • Create and maintain standardized training materials, including presentations, job aids, user guides, videos, and reference documentation.
  • Ensure consistent adoption of best practices across the dealer network by reinforcing training through refreshers, follow‑ups, and targeted coaching.
  • Act as a key escalation and support resource for sales‑related training questions from both internal teams and dealership partners.
  • Support dealer performance and engagement by identifying training opportunities internally and externally, proactively recommending enhancements.
  • Participate in cross‑functional projects related to originations, dealer experience, and operational readiness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in retail lending, originations, or financial services training.
  • Extensive experience developing and delivering training programs for sales teams and external partners.
  • Strong working knowledge of end‑to‑end retail loan originations, including credit analysis, documentation, compliance, and funding workflows.
  • Experience training on loan origination systems (LOS), partner platforms, and dealer‑facing technology tools.
  • Expert-level proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and training-related software platforms, including learning management systems (LMS), virtual training tools, and content development software.
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial and operational concepts into clear, practical training for diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support dealer and sales training initiatives.

  • Experience in founding, co-founding or working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience in Powersports Finance Industry (motorcycle, ATVs UTVs, PWCs)
  • Experience in a FinTech startup
  • Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Professional degree

 

Salary:

  • Salary range: $100,000 to $115,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
