Salesforce Data Cloud Developer
Location: Hybrid (Newark, NJ - requires 2/days per month (consecutively), onsite)
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Data Cloud Developer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions leveraging Salesforce Data Cloud (formerly Customer Data Platform/Data 360). This role will focus on unifying enterprise data, enabling real time insights, supporting personalization use cases, and integrating Data Cloud with Salesforce Customer 360 and external systems.
The ideal candidate has strong hands on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, data modeling, identity resolution, data ingestion pipelines, and Salesforce platform integrations, with an understanding of enterprise data architecture. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement solutions using Salesforce Data Cloud to unify customer data.
Hands-on experience across at least one of these: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Health Cloud, Experience Cloud (Community Cloud), or Marketing Cloud.
Build and manage data ingestion pipelines from Salesforce and non Salesforce sources (APIs, files, streaming sources).
Configure and optimize Data Model Objects (DMOs), calculated insights, and data transformations.
Lead end-to-end delivery of Salesforce Data Cloud implementations, from discovery and impact assessment through design, deployment, and post–go-live support.
Design Data Cloud data models, ingestion pipelines, and data flows, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Implement identity resolution rules, match and reconciliation logic, and data harmonization strategies.
Enable real time and batch data activation to Salesforce clouds (Sales, Marketing).
Develop integrations using Apex, Flow, MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs, and event based architectures.
Collaborate with technical architects and stakeholders to define data governance, security, and privacy controls.
Monitor data quality, performance, and scalability; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Participate in code reviews, solution design sessions, and release planning.
Maintain technical documentation and best practices for Data Cloud implementations.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders during discovery workshops to define business-driven use cases and translate them into effective technical solutions
Experience within the healthcare domain is highly preferred.
Required certifications include Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer (at least one). Salesforce Data Cloud certification is highly desired.
