Sand Blasting Position-Powder Coating
We are looking for a dedicated Sand Blasting and Powder Coating professional to join our team in Salem, OH. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in industrial coating processes who wants to work on-site during first shift hours.
As part of our clients team, youll operate powder coating equipment, including automated systems, to ensure high-quality finishes on metal components. Youll also prepare surfaces through cleaning and sanding, interpret production specifications, and perform quality checks to meet industry standards. Hours
Monday through Friday, 6:30am-2:30pm. Some overtime opportunities are available.
Pay
$19.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Operate powder coating equipment, including automated systems, to apply coatings efficiently and accurately
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or surface preparation following industry standards
Interpret production documents and specifications for correct coating procedures and color matching
Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment
Maintain PPE and safety protocols during all operations
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards
Perform routine maintenance on machinery, power tools, and equipment to keep operations smooth
Minimum Requirements
Previous experience in powder coating or surface preparation a plus
Ability to operate powder coating and masking equipment safely
Strong attention to detail and safety procedures
Nice to Have Skills
Familiarity with automated coating systems
Basic understanding of industrial painting standards
Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior experience with surface prep, coating, or industrial painting preferred
Other Requirements
Ability to work on-site during designated shift hours
Strong focus on safety and quality in a manufacturing environment
