About the Role:
Gunther's Restaurant & Catering in San Jose, CA is looking for an enthusiastic Sandwich Maker & Customer Service team member to join their crew! If you love crafting delicious food and making customers smile, this is the perfect opportunity to bring your energy and passion to a welcoming kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches and menu items to order with speed and accuracy
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Take customer orders accurately, in-person and potentially by phone
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work station
- Follow food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines at all times
- Support catering prep and packaging as needed
- Restock ingredients and supplies to keep the line running smoothly
Requirements:
- Previous food service, deli, or sandwich prep experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Basic food safety knowledge; Food Handler's Card a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
