SAP TM,CSO Technical Developer

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Development & Customization

• Develop and maintain custom ABAP objects, classes, and reports within the SAP TM and Sales & Distribution (SD/CSO) environments.
• Implement enhancements using the BOPF (Business Object Processing Framework), which is the core technical architecture of SAP TM.
• Develop and customize Floorplan Manager (FPM) and Web Dynpro ABAP screens to optimize the user experience for customer service and logistics teams.
• Implement custom business logic using BAdIs, User Exits, and Customer Enhancements in both TM and SD/CSO.

2. Integration & Interface Management

• Design, build, and support the technical integration between Sales/Service Orders (CSO) and Transportation Management (TM) (e.g., Order/Delivery integration, freight unit building rules, and scheduling).
• Develop and monitor interfaces (OData services, RFCs, IDocs, and enterprise services) connecting SAP TM/CSO to external systems, such as carrier portals, GPS tracking systems, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
• Configure and troubleshoot the integration of freight settlement documents with SAP Finance (FI/CO) for billing and carrier payments.

3. Technical Design & Architecture

• Translate functional requirements provided by business analysts into detailed Technical Specification Documents (TSDs).
• Collaborate with SAP Functional Analysts to design scalable, high-performing technical solutions that avoid unnecessary custom code and leverage SAP standard extension points.
• Perform code reviews and ensure development adheres to SAP best practices, security guidelines, and performance standards.

4. Testing, Troubleshooting, and Support

• Perform unit testing, support system integration testing (SIT), and assist business users during user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provide tier-3 technical support to resolve complex production issues, debug system errors, and optimize slow-running database queries or batch jobs in the TM/CSO space.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Dedicated technical experience in SAP TM (specifically working with BOPF, PPF - Post Processing Framework, and FPM).
• Strong technical understanding of the SAP SD / CSO (Sales & Distribution / Customer Service) modules, including sales order processing, delivery processing, and pricing procedures.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP), BOPF, and Web Dynpro/FPM.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies: OData Services (SAP Gateway), SAP Integration Suite (CPI), ALE/IDocs, and Web Services.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA technical architecture (CDS Views, AMDP, and Adobe Forms/SmartForms).
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills (e.g., using SAT, SE30, and ST05).

Soft Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to trace data and process flows across integrated modules.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and external technical partners.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded TM or Decentralized TM.
• SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP or SAP TM.
• Knowledge of SAP Event Management (EM) or SAP Business Network for Logistics (BNL).
