SBA Loan Officer opportunity with a publicly traded commercial bank that specializes in serving small and middle-market businesses throughout California. Its core services include commercial lending, treasury management, SBA lending, commercial real estate financing, deposits, and cash management solutions.
The
SBA Loan Office is responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:- Meet and exceed monthly performance-based scorecard goals, including but not limited to loan and deposit production.
- Acquire new SBA 504 loans.
- Enhance the loyalty and profitability of existing relationships, grow new profitable relationships, and refer opportunities to other business units.
- Participate in networking groups, industry trade organizations, and networking events to cultivate referral relationships.
- Review, process, and prepare loan documentation, ensuring it is complete, legally binding, and compliant with regulatory and bank requirements.
- Assist in obtaining financial statements, tax returns, and other credit information for timely loan assessments.
- Ensure loans and other assets are appropriately and promptly risk-rated in accordance with bank loan policy.
Required qualifications for the position include:- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in a related position.
- 5–7 years of banking experience in business acquisition, relationship management, and SBA lending.
- Strong SBA credit skills.
- A strong background in prospecting for new clients and a demonstrated track record in business development and retention.
- Ability to negotiate and structure loan proposals and pricing.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and leadership qualities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Pay Rate Range: $75,000 - $100,000, base, plus commission
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
