Job Title: Window Clerk - Transload Operations

Location: El Paso, TX

Department: Logistics / Warehouse / Freight Forwarding

Reports To: Operations Supervisor or Terminal Manager

Position Summary

The Window Clerk supports daily transload and freight forwarding operations by serving as the primary point of contact for drivers, carriers, and internal teams. This role ensures accurate documentation, efficient processing of inbound and outbound shipments, and smooth coordination between warehouse, yard, and transportation functions.

Key Responsibilities

Driver & Carrier Interaction

• Check in/out drivers at the service window in a timely and professional manner
• Verify driver identification, load details, and appointment schedules
• Provide dock assignments, loading/unloading instructions, and required documentation

Documentation & Data Entry

• Process Bills of Lading (BOL), manifests, shipping orders, and customs-related paperwork
• Enter shipment data accurately into the Transportation Management System (TMS) or WMS
• Maintain organized records of inbound and outbound freight

Transload Coordination

• Communicate with warehouse and yard teams to coordinate transloading activities
• Monitor shipment status and ensure proper handling of freight transfers (rail-to-truck, truck-to-rail, etc.)
• Identify and escalate discrepancies (shortages, damages, delays)

Customer & Internal Communication

• Serve as a liaison between drivers, warehouse staff, and operations team
• Provide updates on load status, delays, and scheduling changes
• Respond to inquiries from customers or internal stakeholders
