Scheduler
Location: Duluth, MN, US, 55802 Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Scheduler to join our team in Duluth, MN. Are you analytical, detail-oriented, and naturally curious about how complex projects come together? We are seeking a Scheduler who is eager to build a long-term career in project controls. This role supports project teams by developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring costs, analyzing risks, and helping ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved. What You'll Do
- Support multiple projects by: Scheduling & Planning Develop, maintain, and update Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules Create resource-loaded and cost/budget-loaded schedules Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and activity coding Perform schedule updates, baseline management, and progress tracking Conduct schedule "what-if" analysis and assist with risk modeling Support resource forecasting and workload planning
- Project Controls & Reporting Monitor schedule and cost performance and identify risks or delays Prepare detailed Excel reports for internal and external stakeholders Present schedule and cost updates, including recommendations for corrective action Communicate opportunities and risks to project teams and leadership
- Coordination & Financial Support Coordinate project activities from Job Number Request (JNR) through closeout Facilitate schedule status meetings with project managers, leadership, and subcontractors Process billing across a portfolio of projects Ensure timely and accurate invoice entry into ERP systems Obtain appropriate documentation and approvals per Delegation of Authority requirements Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers
What We Are Looking For
- We are looking for someone with strong potential, not just experience. Required Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, or related field preferred; High School Diploma required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills Analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Preferred (But We Will Train the Right Person) Experience in a planning, scheduling, or project coordination role Familiarity with project management principles Experience with Microsoft Project Familiarity with Primavera P6, Primavera EPPM, or Primavera Cloud
