Patient Scheduler Responsibilities:

Responsible for effectively and efficiently addressing the needs of both internal and external customers when scheduling patients by accurately collecting demographic, insurance, and procedure information. Responsibilities include scheduling procedures, providing detailed preparation instructions, documenting patient responses to clinical screening questions, maintaining communication with physician offices and hospital departments, insurance verification, obtaining authorizations, answering telephones, data entry, and performing general clerical and administrative support duties. Must be flexible and willing to rotate shifts periodically. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of Business, Healthcare, or Customer Service experience required
• Associate Degree preferred
• Prior scheduling, registration, or administrative experience preferred
