Scheduler Principal (On-site)

HEPCO Inc. is seeking an experienced Scheduler Principal for our client to support planning and scheduling activities within the ship maintenance industry. This role is ideal for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with strong experience in scheduling, resource planning, and project coordination.

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating schedules for new and existing programs, determining manpower requirements, and analyzing the impact of projects across operations, program management, facilities, and craft labor. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with operational goals.

• Prepare and coordinate integrated production schedules for new and existing programs
• Develop schedules including sequencing, predecessors, successors, durations, and key milestones
• Determine, monitor, and review manpower requirements to support project execution
• Analyze project impacts on budgets, timelines, and resource availability
• Identify risks and recommend corrective actions such as schedule adjustments and resource allocation changes
• Build and maintain detailed schedules using industry-standard tools
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to gather data and resolve scheduling issues
• Ensure schedules meet industry standards and DCMA scheduling criteria
• Track project progress and ensure deliverables are completed on time and without error

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a scheduler in the ship maintenance or shipbuilding industry
• Associate’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis
• Experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Deltek Open Plan
• Ability to build integrated production schedules from specification work items
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with general direction and apply sound judgment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field
• Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
• Ability to develop solutions to complex scheduling and resource challenges
• Strong understanding of project impacts across operations, budgets, and delivery timelines
• Demonstrated ability to recommend and implement corrective actions

Pay Range: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
