The Panther Group is seeking a detail-oriented Scheduler Support Professional to assist with production planning, contract scheduling, and operational coordination for a leading industrial environment in Norfolk, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in production scheduling, ship maintenance, contract review, and cross-functional coordination.

This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced operational settings and have strong Excel, SharePoint, and scheduling software experience.
What You’ll Do
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and maintaining production schedules for industrial and commercial projects
  • Support schedule development for:
    • Bids
    • Pre-planning
    • Newly awarded contracts
  • Review contract changes during bid and post-award phases to assess schedule impact
  • Collaborate with:
    • Program Management Office (PMO)
    • Estimating
    • Contracts
    • Department Supervisors
    • Craft teams
  • Help develop executable schedules that support on-time project delivery
  • Analyze production flow and scheduling challenges to identify practical solutions
  • Maintain scheduling accuracy and ensure deliverables align with company policies and deadlines
  • Support documentation, reporting, and schedule updates using Excel, SharePoint, and scheduling tools
What You Bring
  • 2+ years of experience in the ship maintenance industry (required)
  • Associate’s degree in a related field OR equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency with:
    • Microsoft Excel (advanced preferred)
    • Word
    • SharePoint
    • Scheduling software
  • Experience with:
    • Production scheduling
    • Contract review
    • Planning support
    • Data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while supporting team-based objectives
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in:
    • Industrial operations
    • Commercial production planning
    • PMO support
    • Estimating or contract coordination
  • Familiarity with shipyard or maritime production environments
Pay Rate: Up to $27.67 per hour DOE
