Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Elementary School | Boulder, Colorado

Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff!

PediaStaff is seeking an experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support elementary students with autism in an Intensive Learning Center (ILC). This part-time position focuses on providing individualized behavioral support and helping students develop social, emotional, and functional skills in a structured special education classroom.

Position Details

• Pay Rate: $30–$36 per hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:30 AM–12:30 PM
• Hours: 20 hours per week, part-time
• Boulder, CO area
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: May 21, 2027
• Setting: Elementary School, Autism Intensive Learning Center
• Workdays: Student attendance days, plus approximately 2–3 training days during the school year
• Transportation: Reliable transportation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavioral support to elementary students with autism.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Assist students with social-emotional regulation, communication, and classroom participation.
• Support students with intensive behavioral and developmental needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and special education staff.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate behavioral documentation.
• Work under the direction of school administration and special education leadership.

Qualifications

• Current or previously held RBT certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of special education public school classroom experience required.
• Experience in private facilities or training centers does not substitute for required public school classroom experience.
• Must be experienced and able to work independently, as BCBA supervision is not available.
• Candidates currently completing RBT training or requiring BCBA supervision cannot be considered.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Must be flexible, collaborative, and comfortable working with students with intensive needs.
