Description of Work
Eastern NC School for the Deaf is recruiting for a K-12 School Guidance Counselor. This position will promote student success, provide preventive services and respond to the identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, career, and personal/social development for all students.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

To be licensed as a Professional School Counselor in North Carolina, one is required to have a master's degree in school counseling from an accredited university and pass the Professional School Counselor Praxis exam.
The School Guidance Counselor salary is determined by the appropriate education and experience requirements set by the Dept. of Public Instruction. Salary is based of the State of NC Salary Schedule.
