Navitas Healthcare is seeking a local contract School Occupational Therapist for a local contract job in Ashburn, Virginia.
Evaluate students' fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, and functional performance skills.
Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with diverse developmental and physical needs.
Help students improve handwriting, handwriting readiness, coordination, and classroom participation.
Support students with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, feeding, and personal independence.
Address sensory integration and self-regulation needs to improve student engagement.
Recommend and implement adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and classroom modifications when appropriate.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other healthcare professionals.
Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans based on individual goals.
Maintain accurate therapy documentation, progress reports, and evaluation records.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of individualized education plans.
Ensure occupational therapy services comply with school district policies and applicable regulations.
