Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff!

PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in a charter school setting in the Dearborn, MI area. This part-time opportunity offers a flexible schedule and the chance to help students develop essential motor, sensory, and functional skills to succeed academically and independently.

Position Details

• Location: Dearborn, MI
• Pay Rate: $56–$65 per hour
• Schedule: Part-time, flexible scheduling
• Hours: 16 hours per week to start
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing assignment, no predetermined end date
• Setting: In-person, school-based, charter school

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students with diverse developmental and educational needs.
• Conduct evaluations to assess fine motor, sensory, and functional skills.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education program (IEP) goals.
• Support students with handwriting, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, accommodations, and environmental modifications.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary special education teams.
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license required.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
• Experience with IEPs and special education services preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning and developmental needs.
