Woodbridge School District is accepting applications for a School Psychologist. This is a full-time, 10-month, benefit-eligible related services position.

JOB SUMMARY:

The School Psychologist supports the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of students by providing comprehensive psychological services. This includes conducting evaluations, collaborating with educators and families, developing intervention plans, and promoting a positive school climate. The School Psychologist works as a key member of the student support team to ensure that all students have access to the resources they need to succeed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program (Doctorate preferred).
  • Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to special education and student services (IDEA, Section 504, ADA).
  • Strong skills in psychological assessment, data analysis, and intervention planning.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation preferred.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and supporting the diverse needs of students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional functioning.
  • Interpret assessment data and provide written reports with recommendations for interventions, accommodations, and supports.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
  • Provide direct counseling services to students individually or in groups to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Design and monitor evidence-based interventions to support academic achievement and positive behavior.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, eligibility determinations, and crisis response.
  • Consult with staff and families on strategies to promote student learning and mental health.
  • Support school-wide initiatives that foster safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current on best practices in school psychology.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND EXPECTATIONS:

This is a 10-month position based on a 188-day annual contract. Employees are expected to work 7.5 hours per day, consistent with the established school and district schedules. Responsibilities may include duties beyond instructional time, such as meetings, professional development, and school-related events. Employees are expected to maintain regular attendance, fulfill all assigned responsibilities, and demonstrate flexibility to meet the evolving needs of students, staff, and the district. This position may require additional workdays during the summer months beyond the standard school-year schedule.
