QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

School Psychologist Credential (Master's Degree, Ed.S. in School Psychology or related field, SSP, PhD);

Eligible for Montana Class 6 certification or

Class 5 (only needing internship)

Preferred:

Current credentials as a nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP) from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP); or completion of a specialist level degree from a NASP accredited school psychologist program which included a 1200-hour internship, of which 600 hours were in a P-12 school setting

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents, and outside agencies to support student success;

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to guide teams in determining special education eligibility and inform educational planning and services;

Lead and contribute to Response to Intervention (RTI) efforts by designing and implementing targeted academic and behavioral supports;

Facilitate Child Find screenings to identify students who may need additional services;

Work closely with special education teams to develop and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs);

Use data-driven practices to guide decision-making and measure student outcomes;

Promote strong partnerships between home, school, and community through multidisciplinary teamwork;

Provide counseling, social skills instruction, and behavioral support to students;

Serve as a mental health advocate by offering prevention programs and crisis intervention when needed;

Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations and ethical standards.

EMPLOYMENT:

187 days per school year

For the 2026/2027 school year

SALARY: Follows School Psychologist Salary Schedule.

(Salary dependent on education and experience)

Option for additional compensation for professional involvement activities;

Stipend for current NCSP credential
