Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School-Based FMLA Leave Opportunity

PediaStaff is thrilled to announce a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity supporting elementary students in a welcoming school community near Black Diamond, Washington! This is a temporary FMLA leave assignment offering the chance to make a meaningful impact for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year.

Position Details

• Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Setting: Elementary School
• Location: Near Black Diamond, WA
• Assignment Dates: December 14, 2026 - June 16, 2027
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Caseload: Approximately 48 students maximum
• Type: Full-Time, Temporary FMLA Coverage

Responsibilities

As a member of the special services team, you will:

• Provide speech-language therapy services to students with communication disorders.
• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to determine student needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.
• Deliver direct therapy services in individual, small group, and classroom-based settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and eligibility evaluations.
• Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements.
• Support students in both special education and general education environments.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Washington ESA certification (or eligibility for immediate issuance).
• Current Washington SLP license or ability to obtain.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
• Strong collaboration, assessment, and communication skills.
