Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help elementary students strengthen their communication skills and reach their full potential across multiple school locations in the Frederick, MD, area.
Position Overview
Conduct speech-language screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify students’ communication needs and determine appropriate services.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals, providing direct and indirect therapy to address speech, language, fluency, voice, and communication challenges.
Monitor student progress, maintain accurate evaluation reports and service documentation, and participate in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to recommend classroom accommodations, implement communication strategies, and support students using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
School-based speech-language experience preferred, including familiarity with IEPs, special education procedures, AAC devices, and supporting elementary students with diverse communication needs
