Location: Cambridge, MA

Duration: Contract - 12 months

Pay Range: $28-32/hr (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking a Research Associate Scientific to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in spatial biology, genomics, and histology workflows and a proven ability to operate spatial profiling platforms, execute laboratory assays, and deliver high-quality data to meet project timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot spatial profiling instruments, including Phenocycler Fusion, Visium, and related platforms.
  • Prepare samples and reagents, perform validation, and complete slide preparation.
  • Support genomic and histological assay workflows.
  • Maintain accurate records, manage reagent and sample inventory, and perform routine data transfers.
  • Assist in the development and optimization of new spatial technology reagents and protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, engineering, chemistry, physics, math, computer sciences, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of hands-on laboratory experience.
  • Strong technical and organizational skills with attention to detail and quality.
  • Effective and timely communication skills with peers and senior leadership.
  • Ability to meet project goals and timelines and work collaboratively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with spatial transcriptomics or proteomics platforms such as Phenocycler/CODEX, COMET, Visium, CosMx, Xenium, or comparable technologies.
  • Familiarity with spatial assay workflows, including antibody panel design, staining optimization, and image acquisition or analysis.
  • Experience with scRNA-seq or Illumina NGS, including library preparation and DV200 testing.
  • Experience with multiplex IF, IHC, or ISH on automated autostainers such as Leica Bond or Ventana.
  • Basic proficiency in mammalian cell culture and standard assays, including single-cell cloning, CRISPR-Cas9, protein immunoblot, and flow cytometry.
