Title: Scientist I (R&D)
Location: Cambridge, MA (100% onsite)
Duration: 12 Months+ Possible Extension
Position Description: - The Physical Biochemistry group requests a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate Scientist to join the group for operational efficiencies.
- The selected candidate will contribute to a fast-paced, innovative research environment focused on addressing unmet medical needs across immunology, rare disease, and neuroscience therapeutic areas.
- This position provides opportunities to collaborate within the Therapeutics modalities department; the candidate is expected to execute multi-step processes independently and proactively and communicate progress effectively in oral and written communications.
The selected candidate will be expected to- Enable efficient reagent and study organization, documentation, and data reporting, as well as monitoring how protein reagents are stored and distributed across the department.
- Perform crystallization workflows or straight forward biophysical analysis workflows
- Enable crystal storage and shipping
- Demonstrate diligence in equipment maintenance, inventory tracking, and proactive ordering of laboratory supplies, and provide support for day-to-day laboratory management activities.
- Contribute to effective general laboratory organization and best practices for lab safety.
Qualifications:- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Biochemistry or related field, with 1 2 years of relevant experience in an industrial and/or academic laboratory setting.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong collaborative skills and excellent communication skills.
- Innovative approaches to problem solving and the ability to manage multiple activities in parallel are highly valued.
