Job Specifications

• Key Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and perform preventive maintenance on Acme and Davenport Screw Machines.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment problems.
  • Read blueprints to determine repair parts needed and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications (such as replacing worn shafts, gears, belts, pulleys, etc.).
  • Assist setup personnel and operators in resolving part changeover issues and material defects.
  • Assist in training others and perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
• Experience Required:
  • 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting.
  • Must be trained in LOTO (Lockout-Tagout).
  • Must have hands-on experience working on Screw Machinery (Acme, Davenport, Swiss, etc.); preferred backgrounds include machine maintenance, auto mechanics, or screw machine maintenance.
  • Highly mechanically inclined with strong tool proficiency and the ability to read machine drawings.
• Education & Compliance:
  • High school diploma, trade school experience, or GED preferred, with basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Background Screening: First Advantage Package (Non-Exempt/Hourly Package + Supplier-run Drug Screen, or Non-Exempt/Hourly with Drug Package).
