Scrum Master

The scope of the proposed services will include the following:

Key Responsibilities

The duties of a Scrum Master include, but are not limited to:

• Guide teams and organizations using Agile/Scrum best practices, methodologies, and values.
• Assess the Scrum maturity of the team and organization and coach the team toward higher levels of maturity at a sustainable and comfortable pace.
• Remove impediments or guide the team in removing impediments.
• Facilitate the completion of work assignments without assigning or dictating individual work assignments.
• Facilitate discussions, decision-making, team building, and conflict resolution.
• Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and facilitate information radiating.
• Support Product Managers in maximizing return on investment (ROI) and achieving organizational objectives.
• Support and educate the Product Owner, including grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
• Engage in Agile delivery using appropriate Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc.
• Provide support to the team using a servant-leadership style whenever possible and lead by example.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 5+ years of Scrum Master experience.
• Scrum Master certification.
• Experience with Change Management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience identifying and developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure program performance.
• Experience with Agile tracking tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps.
• Experience creating and maintaining:
  • Product timelines
  • Status reports
  • Communication plans
  • Other product-management-related documentation.

***Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor. The contractor must have their own equipment. Access to a virtual desktop set up (software) will be provided by Lumen s client, allowing the user access to the required systems and technology.***
