    Job Description

    Seasonal Groundskeeper
    The Deerfield Park District is seeking part-time seasonal team member to join our Parks Department. If you are a self-motivated and responsible individual who enjoys working outdoors, we encourage you to apply! This position involves general maintenance of park grounds, facilities, athletic fields, playgrounds, and landscaped areas.
    Requirements
    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license
    • Basic knowledge and ability to operate landscape equipment such as mowers, blowers, trimmers, and other small hand tools
    • Ability to work in cold weather; must be comfortable shoveling and willing to learn snow plowing
    • Basic understanding of occupational hazards and safety practices related to grounds maintenance and construction
    • Must be able to work weekends and evenings when required, particularly during weather-related events
    • Commitment to following all safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for staff and park visitors
    Hours & Pay
    • Hours: Generally 7:00am–3:30pm (flexible) — positions available immediately - looking for individuals that can work 2 or more days a week.  
    • Pay Rate: $17.25–$18.25 per hour
