Position Overview

Evans Distribution Systems, a leading logistics provider in Southeast Michigan, is seeking Seasonal Warehouse Associates to join our Packaging Division in Melvindale, Michigan.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations, packaging, and supply chain management. Successful candidates will play an important role in ensuring products are assembled, packaged, labeled, and prepared accurately for shipment to customers and retailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow daily work assignments provided by the supervisor and complete tasks according to established work instructions and quality requirements.
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
• Complete required production paperwork and submit completed worksheets to the shift leader.
• Properly identify and tag all materials, including work-in-process and nonconforming products, in accordance with established procedures.
• Ensure products are correctly labeled, packaged, and prepared for shipment according to customer specifications and work instructions.
• Follow established quality, productivity, and safety standards at all times.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and all company and site-specific safety policies.
• Promptly report workplace incidents, accidents, unsafe conditions, and unsafe work practices to supervision.
• Properly use and maintain all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and immediately report missing, damaged, or malfunctioning safety equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all housekeeping and applicable workplace health and safety policies.

Qualifications and Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Previous packaging or assembly experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to meet production expectations in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Willingness to follow instructions, established procedures, and workplace policies.
• Ability to successfully complete the required pre-employment background screening.

Position Details

• Job Title: Seasonal Warehouse Associate - Packaging
• Location: Melvindale, Michigan
• Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, with a 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. start time.
• Overtime: Flexibility to work overtime and Saturdays as needed.
• Anticipated Start Date: January 2027
