Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on commercial trucks and trailers during second shift hours
• Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks
• Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, suspensions, and drivetrain components
• Inspect and repair trailer systems including lighting, landing gear, and kingpins
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Document all repair work, parts used, and labor accurately in work orders
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with shop standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or truck/trailer technician
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer systems and components
• Ability to work independently and efficiently during second shift hours
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and mechanical tools
• Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus
• ASE or manufacturer certifications preferred but not required
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship
