Job Description

High Country Plastics is a rotational molding and thermoforming plastic component supplier for the RV, Marine and Custom industries. SUMMARY: The secondary operator assists the Primary Operator with final trim on molded products. Primary responsibilities include routing parts, proper stacking to protect parts from damage, quality inspection for defects, as well as assembly as needed. Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 – 30 lbs. 30% of the workday and 30 lbs. – 60 lbs. 20% of the workday.RESPONSIBILITIES:Trim parts using routers, saws and air tools Assemble parts using sonic welder, glue, and other parts and pieces as requiredVerify the prints for routing and assembly match partsDaily housekeepingIdentify quality issuesNotify a supervisor if any issues are identifiedPlace parts in designated areasVerify parts received match order and quantityKeep pace with the ovenAssist other primary and secondary operations or ovens as time permitsCreate a safe work environmentAll other duties as requestedQUALIFICATIONS:Ability to read prints and specificationsExperience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and toolsAbility to communicate with leads and supervisorsComputer experiences helpfulWORKING CONDITIONS:Able to work in hot humid environment for extended periods of time as well as around loud noises are required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to remain stationary with intermediate walking through out shift. Frequently lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds alone and parts more than 50 pounds with assistance, and must be able to transport these up to 20 feet. Frequently positions self to maneuver around the part when finishing. Must be able to operate the hand and air tools frequently.
