Provide strong collaborative leadership to ensure that all students achieve at high levels. Develop and implement a school vision that aligns with district goals focusing on academic excellence student achievement and continuous improvement. Set clear expectations for the school community and model a commitment to excellence and integrity. Instructional Leadership and Accountability Lead implementation of New Mexico academic standards and state-approved instructional materials. Monitor student achievement data including NM-MSSA NM-ASR SAT WIDA interim assessments graduation rates attendance and collegecareer readiness indicators. Support implementation of Multi-Layered System of Supports MLSS and evidence-based instructional practices. Ensure compliance with state accountability requirements and school improvement planning. Educator Effectiveness and Licensure Conduct educator observations and evaluations in accordance with current New Mexico educator evaluation requirements. Monitor staff licensure status and ensure all educators maintain appropriate licenses and endorsements. Support professional development aligned with district goals NMPED initiatives and school improvement priorities. Special Education and Student Services Ensure compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act IDEA Section 504 and New Mexico special education regulations. Support timely completion of IEPs evaluations manifestation determinations and procedural safeguards. Ensure appropriate implementation of accommodations modifications and related services. Monitor special education service delivery and documentation. Student Rights Safety and Equity Ensure compliance with state and federal laws related to student discipline due process bullying prevention harassment discrimination and student privacy. Implement school safety plans emergency response procedures and required safety drills. Support initiatives promoting student wellness mental health attendance and positive school climate. Ensure compliance with Title IX FERPA McKinney-Vento and other applicable federal programs. Attendance and Graduation Requirements Monitor student attendance and implement interventions to address chronic absenteeism. Ensure accurate reporting of attendance and enrollment data to the district and NMPED. Verify student progress toward graduation requirements and postsecondary readiness. Fiscal and Program Accountability Manage school resources in accordance with district procedures state regulations and audit requirements. Ensure compliance with federal and state program requirements including Title programs and grant-funded initiatives. Maintain accurate records and documentation necessary for monitoring audits and state reporting. Community Collaboration Foster positive relationships with families community organizations and tribal entities when applicable. Promote meaningful family engagement and communication consistent with district and state expectations. Staff Management and Development Recruit hire and retain highly qualified staff members ensuring a diverse and effective team of teachers and support staff. Provide ongoing coaching mentoring and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff to support their growth. Student Support and Development Ensure a safe welcoming and inclusive environment where students are supported socially emotionally and academically. Foster positive relationships with students families and the broader community to create a collaborative school culture. Address student behavioral issues and intervene when necessary implementing appropriate disciplinary actions in alignment with district policies. School Operations and Management Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school ensuring that all activities and functions run efficiently. Manage the school budget and resources to maximize instructional time and support student needs. Ensure compliance with district state and federal regulations and policies. Assessment and Accountability Analyze student performance data to identify strengths and areas for improvement in student learning. Use data to make informed decisions regarding instructional changes student interventions and resource allocation. Prepare reports for the school board district leadership and other stakeholders on school performance and progress. Safety and Well-Being Ensure that all safety protocols and emergency procedures are in place and regularly practiced. Foster a school environment that promotes physical and mental well-being for all students and staff. Qualifications Education and Licensure Possess or be eligible for a valid New Mexico Level Three-B Administrative License. Meet all licensure requirements established by the New Mexico Public Education Department. Masters degree from an accredited institution preferred degree requirements must satisfy New Mexico administrative licensure regulations. Experience Minimum of three years of teaching experience in a school setting. Preferred experience in an administrative or leadership role Assistant Principal Dean etc.. Experience in school leadership and knowledge of educational best practices for school education. Skills and Abilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and students. Knowledge of curriculum design assessment methods and student-centered instructional practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with staff parents and the community. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Certifications Valid state administrative credential or certification as required by the state. Other specific certifications as required such as specialized training in school safety or leadership development. Physical Requirements Ability to sit stand or walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs if necessary for school-related activities. Frequent interaction with students staff and parents in an active school environment. Working Conditions Work is typically performed on-site at the school building. Hours may extend beyond the typical school day to attend meetings events or address school-related needs. Occasional travel may be required for district or community meetings. Duties may evolve over time based on the needs of the school and district.
