The School District of New Berlin is seeking a proactive and dedicated Student Learning Assistant (SLA) to join the New Berlin Eisenhower Middle/High School team. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, organized, and productive learning environment for students in grades 7 through 12. We offer flexible scheduling options for this position, with shifts ranging anywhere from 3 to 5.75 hours per day.

Instructional Support & Tutoring

• Tutor and Instruct: Occasionally provide academic support to individual students and small groups of students in order to reinforce learning objectives.

• Partner with Educators: Supplement solutions to instructional needs identified by a highly qualified teacher.

• Behavior Implementation: Implement student behavior plans to ensure the learning environment is physically accessible and orderly.

• Technical Assistance: Provide direct assistance to students on various technological devices appropriate to the educational process.

Building & Environment Support

• Active Supervision: Provide essential supervision and support in study halls, during lunch periods, in hallways, and on campus grounds.

• Environment Safety: Assist with campus safety and monitor shared learning spaces to ensure they are secure for all students.

• Classroom Management: Assist in maintaining a positive environment that minimizes disruptions and maximizes student engagement.

• Campus Presence: Regularly stand, walk, and move throughout the building to ensure a productive learning environment for students in grades 7-12
