PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Structural Analysis Engineer in Melbourne, FL for a 16-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Structural Analysis Engineer will perform static, dynamic, and damage-tolerance structural analyses of metallic and composite airframe structures, mechanical systems, and equipment. This role requires extensive aerospace structural-analysis experience and the ability to develop engineering solutions using approved manual and finite element analysis methods.
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience, master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, or PhD in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Aerospace structural-analysis experience.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance required on the first day of employment.
• Experience performing static structural analysis.
• Experience performing dynamic structural analysis.
• Damage-tolerance and durability analysis experience.
• Experience analyzing metallic and composite airframe structures.
• Experience analyzing mechanical systems and equipment.
• Ability to perform structural calculations manually and through approved automated methods.
• Ability to comprehend complex engineering problems and develop effective solutions.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple technical responsibilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Melbourne, FL.
Preferred Skills
• FEMAP experience.
• Siemens NX experience.
• Teamcenter experience.
• Finite element modeling and analysis experience.
• Experience deriving non-flight applied loads.
• Experience creating, extracting, and distributing internal loads.
• Experience supporting military aircraft or other complex aerospace programs.
What You’ll Do
• Perform static, dynamic, and damage-tolerance analyses.
• Evaluate metallic and composite airframe structures.
• Analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and structural components.
• Develop structural calculations using manual and automated methods.
• Derive non-flight applied loads when required.
• Create, extract, analyze, and distribute internal loads.
• Develop and review finite element models.
• Use FEMAP, NX, Teamcenter, and related engineering applications.
• Document structural-analysis methods, assumptions, results, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and program teams to resolve complex structural issues.
• Adjust priorities to meet project requirements and technical milestones.

Pay
• $86.67 per hour
