Job Summary:
The Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (Anschutz Medical Campus) and Children's Hospital Colorado is recruiting a fellowship trained Pediatric Plastic Surgeon for a 1.0 FTE position available at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor to act as Section Head for the Pediatric Plastic Surgery Program. The Section Head will be responsible for program, academic and service-related duties at the University of Colorado Anschutz and Children's Hospital Colorado.
Nature of Work:
The Section Head of Pediatric Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery will provide strategic medical leadership and direction for operations of the unit across clinical care, research, and education. Will be responsible for hospital department chair duties as outlined in Medical Staff Bylaws. Scope of responsibility will include strategic practice management, business development, provider recruitment and retention and delivery of outstanding faculty, patient and referring provider service. Has primary responsibility for establishing accountability with providers regarding CHCO policies and procedures, operational standards, and quality and service excellence initiatives. Position includes responsibility for Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) system. Key member of CHCO care delivery leadership team and participates in all strategic discussions and operational planning for their department.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$450,000 to $600,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
