Description
Job Title: Security Architect - Consultant - Cloud Engineer
Location: Columbia SC Interview Process: 1 round, Virtual/Online Duration of the Contract: 12 months Possibility for Extension: Yes Work Location: Hybrid (3 days per month onsite)
Job Summary Assist with day to day operations and migrations to AWS\Azure Cloud infrastructure as the organization transitions to a managed cloud broker.
Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
Perform system administration, automation, and development tasks for the Cloud Management Platform (CMP).
Work with department and customer personnel to facilitate migrations to the department cloud infrastructure.
Maintain continuity of shared services offered across AWS and Azure.
Required skills
10 years infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps, or architecture
3-7 years enterprise cloud architecture or governance
3-5 years Terraform and infrastructure as a code
3-5 years cloud migrations and platform operations
3+ years technical leadership and knowledge transfer
Public Cloud infrastructure expertise
Preferred Skills
Expertise in Terraform infrastructure as code, understanding of scaling technologies and solutions, experience with AWS or other clouds, familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container platforms, security, penetration testing and threat detection tools, and experience wServiceNow, Datadog, Dome9, and/or Aviatrix.
Background in DevOps, Software Development, Site Reliability, or Systems Engineering.
Experience with configuration management and continuous deployment.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems and 8+ years of technical architecture experience and relevant hands-on engineering.
