Security Engineer Intrusion Prevention Monitoring - Secret

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Security Engineer – Intrusion Prevention Monitoring to support Cyber Primes cybersecurity, privacy, records and information management, and related enterprise support for DHRA, including DMDC and OUSD(P&R). Location:

Alexandria, VA and Seaside, CA 

Responsibilities:

• Perform the comprehensive cybersecurity tool-monitoring responsibilities 
• Analyze IPS events to reduce false-positive alerts and recommend tuning that improves protection of network assets.
• Develop and implement approved automated response and threat-reporting capabilities to minimize potential impact and support rapid incident response.
• Document monitoring results, issues, and recommendations and coordinate required tickets or corrective actions.
• Support oversight of SIPR tools from an authorized Government location when the assigned duties require SIPR access.
• Apply LCAT expertise in information-assurance scanning and Tier 2 troubleshooting or cybersecurity engineering, as applicable to the assigned labor category, to IPS monitoring and tuning.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience.
• Must be U.S. Citizen
• A Secret clearance is required when the assigned duties require classified information or SIPRNet access.

Compensation Range: 

• The anticipated salary range the Employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is $94,000 to $149,000 annually.
