Pay Rate: $65.00 - $75.00/hour
A rapidly growing SaaS technology company is seeking a Security Engineer to help strengthen and mature its cybersecurity program. This organization develops enterprise cloud software used by customers across multiple industries and is committed to maintaining a secure, scalable, and compliant technology environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about identifying security risks, improving defensive capabilities, and partnering with engineering teams to protect critical systems and infrastructure.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Security Engineer to support the organization's cybersecurity initiatives by monitoring, assessing, and improving the security of cloud infrastructure, applications, and enterprise systems. This individual will play a key role in vulnerability management, incident response, security operations, and implementing best practices that help protect business-critical environments. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex security challenges and staying ahead of emerging threats.
Required Skills:
• 5+ year of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
• Experience performing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Strong understanding of network security concepts, firewalls, SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and antivirus technologies
• Experience identifying, analyzing, and remediating security vulnerabilities
• Experience securing cloud environments, including AWS and Azure
• Understanding of patch management and vulnerability remediation while balancing business impact
• Experience investigating security incidents and implementing corrective actions
• Strong understanding of encryption, authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Ability to develop and maintain security standards, policies, and documentation
Bonus / Soft Skills:
• Experience supporting compliance initiatives such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, or ISO 27001
• Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or similar
