Security Guard

Position Summary

The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, company property, and facilities. This position monitors access to the facility, conducts routine patrols, responds to incidents, and supports a safe manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor facility entrances and exits to control access.
• Verify identification and maintain visitor logs.
• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, parking areas, and grounds.
• Monitor security cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems.
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and suspicious activities.
• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Enforce company security policies and procedures.
• Assist with investigations involving theft, property damage, or policy violations.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity.

Qualifications

• Valid California Guard Card required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one (1) year of security experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
• Basic computer skills and ability to prepare reports.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Working Conditions

Manufacturing environment with exposure to production equipment, forklift traffic, and employee/vendor activity. The Security Guard must consistently maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with all company safety and security standards.
