POSITION: School Security Guard
EFFECTIVE: 2026-2027 School Year
SPECIFICS:
- 10-month, Full Time, 1.0 FTE, when students are in session
- Not to exceed 8 hours per day
- Unaffiliated Salary Schedule $16.48 Per hour
- 7:30 am to 4:00pm
- Reports to: Building Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good employment and excellent attendance record.
- Excellent public relations skills.
- Ability to communicate well with students.
- Ability to follow directions, make decisions, and assume responsibility for activities with without supervision.
- Ability to successfully pass background (fingerprints) and physical screening.
RESPONSIBLILITIES:
- Greet students entering and leaving the building.
- Building relationships with students to create a positive school culture.
- Monitor students in hallway & cafeteria throughout the school day including morning and afternoon dismissal time
- Escort students to their classroom or administration office when arriving late or are wondering the halls.
- Ensuring students are following policies as indicated in the school handbook.
- Monitoring and ensuring that the school is a safe environment
- Communicating with the Building Principals and School Liaison Officer.
- Other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
