Experienced security for large nightclub. Experience checking ids. Team of 14-16. Hours Fri/Sat 11p-1:45a to start. After a few weeks of reliable service more hours and days available. Rate is $17-$25/hr. Seeking people good at de-escalation rather than hotheads. Seeking proactive, not reactive.

Summary

The Security team member helps maintain a safe, orderly environment for guests and staff in a bar, lounge, nightclub, or restaurant. This role monitors the venue, supports entry and crowd-management procedures, and responds calmly to concerns while following company policies and applicable laws.

Security responsibilities

Responsibilities include monitoring entrances, exits, guest areas, and other assigned spaces; observing activity and identifying potential safety concerns; and supporting guest screening, identification checks, and capacity procedures as directed. The Security team member communicates with management and coworkers about incidents, follows venue response procedures, and completes incident reports when required. Duties may also include helping maintain clear walkways and exits, assisting with orderly entry and departure, and contacting emergency services or appropriate personnel when necessary.

Guest service and teamwork

The Security team member interacts with guests in a professional, respectful manner and provides clear directions about venue policies and procedures. This role works with managers, bartenders, hosts, and other team members to share relevant updates and address concerns. The Security team member uses sound judgment, seeks support when a situation escalates, and follows approved procedures for de-escalation and emergency response.

Security qualifications

The successful candidate demonstrates communication, awareness, judgment, reliability, and teamwork skills, and can follow company procedures and applicable laws. Any legally required security license, training, or certification must be obtained and maintained. Current first aid or CPR certification may be helpful where relevant to the position.

Work environment

This position works in a busy bar, lounge, nightclub, or restaurant with frequent guest interaction, noise, movement, and changing conditions. Work may involve standing or walking for extended periods and working evenings, weekends, holidays, or high-volume service periods. The Security team member is expected to follow workplace safety procedures and promptly report hazards, incidents, or emergencies.
