As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Inspection in Reading, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.99 / Hour

• Security Experience

• Candidates must possess a minimum of 1 year of security experience. This experience should be relevant to the position being applied for and demonstrate the candidate's ability to handle security-related responsibilities effectively.

• Customer Service Experience

• Candidates with a background in customer service will be preferred, as this experience enhances communication skills and the ability to manage client interactions effectively.

• X-Ray Screening Experience

• Candidates with experience in x-ray screening will be highly regarded, particularly for roles that involve security checks and monitoring.

DayTimeMon02:00 AM - 10:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, contractors, visitors, packages, and vehicles entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Inspect parcels, personal belongings, and other items as directed, while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly report observations and concerns to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated loading areas, sorting operations, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
