Security Officer Full Time Visitor Access

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Access in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will create a welcoming, professional first impression while supporting access control and badge processes. You will monitor visitor activity, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and help address security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Serve as a professional front-desk presence by greeting guests, verifying visitor information, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and available communication systems; report unusual activity or concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, package records, and other front-desk documentation while supporting a welcoming, orderly location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
