As a Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and assistance while helping to maintain orderly operations.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to appropriate personnel in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
• A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
