As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver Alarm Response in Kutztown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

• Valid Driver's License (AU Driver Policy Requirements - C123):

Candidates must possess a valid driver's license. This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):

Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. Familiarity with security protocols is crucial for maintaining workplace safety.

• Alarm Panel Experience (B202):

Experience with alarm panel systems is required. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of alarm operations and emergency response procedures.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):

Proficiency in using computers or tablets is necessary. Candidates must be comfortable navigating software applications and performing tasks digitally.

• Customer Service Experience (B219):

A background in customer service is essential. Candidates should exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, unsecured doors or gates, and other security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
