Be a part of something special!Position OverviewHalvik is seeking a candidate to provide technical and operational support for a Federal customer's Security Operations Center (SOC). The candidate will support enterprise security monitoring, incident response, and threat detection across a hybrid IT environment, including on-premises infrastructure and cloud services. This role provides advanced security analysis, and threat detection and engineering to strengthen organizational cybersecurity operations and continuous monitoring capabilities. The candidate will have hands-on experience with technical troubleshooting, remediation validation, incident follow-up, compliance reviews, platform administration, and operational security initiatives.Core ResponsibilitiesLeading and coordinating incident response activities with ISSOs, system owners, and cybersecurity personnel to contain, eradicate, and recover from cybersecurity incidentsDeveloping, updating, and refining incident response protocols, procedures, and playbooksConducting proactive incident responses to detect stealthy activity, anomalous behaviors, or early-stage malicious activityPerforming forensic analysis, log correlation, and campaign mapping during and after incidentsProviding recommendations to strengthen customer's detection, response, and mitigation capabilitiesSupporting compliance with federal incident-reporting requirementsMinimum RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree.Experience: Two to six years of cybersecurity experience.Technical Proficiency: Proficient is analyzing, monitoring and reporting cyber security threats. Capable of tracking investigation results and reporting on findings. Ability to perform intrusion scope and root cause analyses and assist with intrusion remediation, strategy development, and implementation. Knowledgeable with SOC monitoring methods and technologies. Compliance: Ensure compliance with Federal cybersecurity regulations, including NIST, FISMA, and associated guidance.
