Position Details

Position Details:

• Picking up preloaded trailers containing batteries and cells from the Interstate Battery DC and delivering them to various distribution centers.

• The driver will reload the trailers with battery cores to return to the DC.

• Routes will vary each week, so the driver needs to be flexible.

• Freight is a mix of both touch and no touch deliveries

• 50% of the loads are driver assist by tailgating the freight with an electric pallet jack

• The driver will ensure the load is secure and safe for travel after all stops.

• Responsible for signing and completing all paperwork to the customer''s standards associated with deliveries and returns.

• Drivers will be required to scale loads.

• Safety and on-time service are top priorities.

• Assisting other DCS and Intermodal accounts if Interstate volume is low will be required.

Additional Details:

• Professional appearance and high level of customer service expected.

• Uniform shirts provided

• Steel toe boots are required. Either provided by the account or the driver will be reimbursed for purchase.

• Manager is on-site.

• Trucks are assigned.

• Trucks must be left at the account during time off.
