Job Title: Semi Trailer Mechanic (Service Technician)

Pay Range: Starting at $22.00+ (DOE)

Position Overview

Legacy Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Semi Trailer Mechanic (Service Technician) on behalf of an industrial services client. This role is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and servicing semi-trailers to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with heavy-duty equipment, and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues across multiple trailer systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and replace trailer components, including:
  • Brake systems (air brakes, ABS) 
  • Suspension systems 
  • Axles and wheel bearings 
  • Lighting and wiring systems 
  • Landing gear and coupling systems 
• Perform structural repairs on trailer frames and panels, including welding and fabrication 
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections 
• Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred 
• Experience working with semi-trailers or heavy-duty equipment 
• Knowledge of air brake systems and trailer components 
• Welding and fabrication skills preferred 
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools and repair equipment

Work Environment
