Senior Accountant

Our client, a leading privately-held company in the Baltimore area is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their growing team! This Senior Accountant role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with leadership and key stakeholders while taking ownership of critical accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and analysis functions. This is a HYBRID position 3 days/week onsite in office especially during the initial training period. They offer a ton of flexibility and ample room for professional growth. Compensation: $95,000-$115,000 base salary+ bonus potential

Job Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• 
  
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• 
  
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reports.
• 
  
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
• 
  
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives.
• 
  
• Assist with ERP implementations, process improvements, and business transition projects.
• 
  
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance workflows and operational efficiency.
• 
  
• Maintain accounting procedures, internal controls, and audit support documentation.
• 
  
• Participate in accounting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• 
  

Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 
  
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• 
  
• Strong GL, month-end, reconciliations, and financial reporting experience
• 
  
• Advanced Excel skills
• 
  
• ERP experience required; Oracle a plus
•
