In this role, you'll support our financial reporting functions and help maintain the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of our accounting operations. Your work will feed directly into the reporting, budgets, and analysis presented to leadership and our Board of Directors.Key Responsibilities:Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and complete monthly balance sheet reconciliationsMaintains the general ledger and chart of accounts, ensuring transactions are coded accuratelySupports payroll processing by reviewing payroll data and recording payroll journal entriesGathers department-level data to support the annual budget and periodic forecastsMonitor cash activity and prepare cash position reportsComplete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close tasks and prepare draft financial statementsPrepare budget-to-actual variance reports and support budgeting and cash flow forecastingAssist in preparing audit schedules for our independent accounting firm and assist with sales/use and property tax filingsEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2+ years of general accounting experience; marketing, media, or service-industry experience is a plusWorking knowledge of GAAP, the full accounting cycle, month-end close, and reconciliationsProficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar) and strong Excel skillsStrong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to meet deadlinesDiscretion with confidential informationCPA or progress toward CPA eligibility is a plus
